Location

Nestled in the mountains of Xinchang County in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, the Yanbang Water Trail is a peaceful, off-the-radar gem. This centuries-old path has been carefully maintained, with wide stone steps and scenic spots such as Water Curtain and Daqing Bridge. Surrounded by lush greenery and flowing streams, it’s a relaxing escape into nature just a few hours from Shanghai.

Itinerary

• 07:30 | Meet at Starbucks at 1788 Plaza (1818 West Nanjing Road, Jing’an Temple area) for departure.
• 12:00 | Arrive in Xinchang and begin the hike.
• 12:30 | Hike deep into the mountains, crossing streams, rivers, and old stone bridges. Break for a picnic lunch by the water. (Lunch is not provided. Participants will bring their own food.)
• 13:30 | Continue hiking through forested trails and natural scenery.
• 16:30 | Reach the end point and board the bus.
• 20:30 | Return to Shanghai.

Difficulty: Easy – Suitable for all physically healthy people. The 5-8KM trail has minimal elevation and no steep climbs — flat, family-friendly, and pet-friendly.

Cancellation Policy

If members cancel the trip for personal reasons:

• Cancellation 3 days (72 hours) or more before the trip:
  A full refund will be issued.
• Cancellation within 3 days (less than 72 hours) before the trip:
  A 100 RMB transportation fee will be deducted, and the rest of the payment will be refunded.

If the trip cannot be continued due to force majeure (such as flood, earthquake, weather, or transportation issues):

Part of the trip payment may be refunded under the following conditions:

• Local bus transport fees included in your travel fee (as fully prepaid to the local bus agency) will not be refunded.
• Tour guide fees included in your travel fee will not be refunded.
• Full hotel/attraction fees already spent will not be refunded.
• New local hotel fees or other fees incurred at the destination will not be refunded.
• Flight/train changing/cancellation fees will not be refunded.
• Other personal losses incurred will not be refunded.

*Please note that your booking is confirmed only when full payment is made. Seats are limited. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to a friend, but rescheduling to another trip is not permitted.
